Visitors Had a‘Grand’ Time

My 11-year-old son Jarred and his friend, Evan Stevenson and I spent this past weekend at Grand Hotel. We enjoyed the sunlight, Bob Tagatz’s private, behind-the-scenes tour of the hotel, sledding, snowshoeing, and a couple of carriage rides. A grand weekend, including a very stunning sunset on Saturday from the frozen hotel porch.

The boys enjoyed spending a few hours at the library. I enjoyed speaking with Ann St. Onge at the library and took lots of photos of Round Island Lighthouse.

We had a very memorable time, a magical weekend on your Island. We shall return in April, when the snow is waning and the bikes are dusted off. Best regards to all, including Jesse at the Village Inn and Kirk Smith, a new friend my son made at the library.
