City Begins Crackdown on Vendors, Restaurants With Recyclable Cans

     Vendors who sell beverages in returnable cans and bottles are going to find it difficult to operate on Mackinac Island this coming year, if they do not provide a place to return those cans for deposit.

Donald Libby Ordained Roman Catholic Deacon
     Donald L. Libby of Mackinac Island and Grand Rapids was ordained a Deacon in the Roman Catholic Church October 7 during a ceremony at the Basilica of St. Peter in the Vatican. The service was attended by his parents, Don and Barbara Libby of Grand Rapids, his sister, Lucile, and many friends.

Contest Underway To Seek Lilac Fest Logo Design
