Prizes Awarded at Fourth Annual Jewel Golf Benefit

The Fourth Annual Jewel at Mackinac Golf Benefit for Mackinac Island Medical Center and the Moses Dialysis Unit in St. Ignace was held Thursday, August 25, at Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island. Proceeds, for which a total was not available at press time, will be split evenly between the two facilities and will be used for general operating costs.

The event enjoyed good attendance, said Shannon Doran, administrative assistant at Mackinac Straits Hospital, and early indications are that funds raised may be slightly better than last year, which approached $30,000.
