Win-Some Women Plan Fall Retreats at Island's Grand Hotel

Win-Some Women Christian Retreats celebrates its 34th year with three back-to-back retreats for women at Grand Hotel this fall. This fall's retreat theme is "Wait on the Lord" (Psalm 40:1).

Registration is underway for the Wednesday, October 19, and Thursday, October 20, retreat, as the other two retreats are filled.

Gloria Gaither and Dr. Anthony Campolo will be the featured speakers, the group Talley Trio will entertain, and a dramatic performance highlighting biblical stories will be presented by Women of the Bible.

Ms. Gaither grew up in a pastor's home in Michigan. She is a graduate of Anderson University and an advocate for higher education. As a lyricist, writer, and performer, she has visited the stages of the world with her husband of almost 40 years, Bill Gaither. They have been recognized by the gospel music industry for gospel classics such as "Because He Lives," "Something Beautiful," "Something About That Name," and "Let's Just Praise the Lord."

Dr. Campolo is a emeritus professor of sociology at Eastern College in St. Davids, Pennsylvania. As the founder and president at the Evangelical Association for the Promotion of Education (EAPE), he has created programs for at-risk children in cities across the United States and Canada and has helped establish schools and universities in several developing countries. Dr. Campolo has authored 28 books, the most recent of which are "Revolution and Renewal: How Churches are Saving our Cities" and "Let Me Tell You a Story."

The Talley Trio, consisting of Roger and Debra Tally and their daughter, Lauren, has enjoyed seven number one singles. Their latest project, "Praise for the Ages," was featured as January 2005 Album of the Month by Power Source magazine. They have received numerous awards, including the 2000 Southern Gospel Music Association Album of the Year Award for "Testament," which features their number one song, "Searchin'," and the widely popular hit, "Testify."

Brochures containing registration forms for the October retreats are available by contacting Win-Some Women at P.O. Box 503, Petoskey, MI 49770.
