Lilac Queen Opens Gate to Historic Fort

Fort Mackinac began its summer season Friday, May 6 when Lilac Queen Jennifer Wightman and Mackinac State Historic Park Director Phil Porter opened the gates. Ms. Wightman fired the first cannon shot of the 2005 season.
