Runners To Cross Mighty Mac

The second annual Mackinaw Memorial Bridge Race will be Saturday, May 28. Runners will check in at race headquarters in Mackinaw City at 6 a.m. and be transported to the starting line at Bridgeview Park in St. Ignace, then run the race south back to Mackinaw City.

Runners must register by Thursday, May 26, to participate, and 1,400 registrations will be accepted. Racers may register at www.mackinawcity.com or by calling (800) 750-0160. A registration fee of $35 includes the race, transportation, breakfast, and a commemorative gift.

In its first year, 491 runners finished the 5.8 mile race last year.

The race is sponsored by the Governors Council on Physical Fitness.
