Hobo sticks with small gifts wrapped at the end were donated to Mackinac Island Medical Center by the Island’s Brownie Troop 350 Monday, April 25. The hobo sticks will be given to toddlers who visit the Medical Center and were made as the troop’s service project for this year.

The sticks are made of dowel rods and a bandana tied at the end contains a play mask, stickers, crayons, a crayon-shaped notepad, a balloon, and a coupon from Doud Mercantile for a free bottle of water.

Members of Troop 350 are Hailey Armstrong, Meadow Greenlee, Kyra Kolatski, Adrienne Rilenge, Amelia Roe, Dana Roguska, and Mackenzie Bean. The troop’s leaders are Kim Kolatski and Julie Greenlee.

The troop is looking forward to an overnight girl scout convention at Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City June 12 and summer camp at Cedar Campus in Cedarville in August.
