James Shannon Earns Nursing Degree From University of Michigan in April

James Shannon of Mackinac Island and Sault Ste. Marie received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, magna cum laude , from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor Saturday, April 30.

While at college, Mr. Shannon was named to the dean’s list, was a member of the nursing honors program, participated in the Health Sciences Scholars program, and was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity.

He is a 2001 graduate of Sault Ste. Marie Area High School and the son of Patrick and Mary Anne Shannon, residents of Trillium Heights on Mackinac Island.
