Zoo-De-Mackinac Bicycle Ride is Saturday, May 21

This year’s Zoo-De-Mackinac bicycle ride from Boyne Highlands to Mackinac Island will get underway Saturday, May 21, with more than 2,000 cyclists expected to participate. Bikers take a scenic 51-mile tour up the west coast of northern lower Michigan and arrive in Mackinaw City for the ferry ride to Mackinac Island.

Here, special entertainment has been booked at the French Outpost, Horns Bar, and the Pink Pony, with admission restricted to the cyclists registered in the event. The group has also chartered special late boats from the Island Saturday evening, with passage restricted to group members.

Zoo-De-Mackinac, Inc. has raised almost $7,000 for the Top of Michigan Trails Council. Money will go toward recreational pathways in Northern Michigan, including the paved section between Petoskey and Harbor Springs.
