Mackinac Bridge Traffic Dips 7.4% in April

Traffic on the Mackinac Bridge was down 7.4 percent during the month of April, reported Mackinac Bridge Authority Executive Secretary Robert Sweeney.

A total of 247,225 vehicles crossed the bridge in April this year. In April 2004, 267,077 crossings were reported.

Traffic for 2005 is 1.3 percent behind last year’s pace, with 939,889 vehicles crossing this year, 952,371 in 2004.
