Mackinac 7 Art Group To Host Reception June 12

The local artist group, Mackinac 7, will host a reception for their art show Sunday, June 12, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Mackinac Island Art Gallery, downstairs at Murray Hotel. The public is invited.

The free exhibit opened Saturday, June 4.

The group has been together for more than 10 years and named themselves after a Canadian Group in the 1920s and 1930s called the Group of 7.

Mackinac 7 members are Cathy Brockman, Maeve Croghan, Pam Finkel, Nicki Griffith, Kitty Hannabass, Marlee Musser, Marta Olson, and Pat Pulte.

The group will hold two other shows this summer, one in July at the Three Pines Studio in Cross Village and the other in August at the Mackinac Island Public Library.
