Crew Repairs Airport Runway

Jeci Hurkman and Nick Akerley of Gwinn clean the tarmac at Mackinac Island Airport so crews can make repairs to small cracks on the runway’s surface. The airport was closed Tuesday, June 7, through Thursday, June 9. The Michigan Department of Transportation, Bureau of Aeronautics, contracted the work to Fuhrner Asphalt Sealers, Inc. of Gwinn.
