Patricia Bynoe, Brian Schoenborn Wed

Patricia and Brian Schoenborn
Patricia Bynoe of Mackinac Island and Brian Schoenborn of Conklin were married Saturday, May 14, 2005, at Ste. Anne’s Catholic Church on Mackinac Island. Father James Williams performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Judith Bynoe and the late Robert Bynoe of Mackinac Island. She is a 1984 graduate of La Salle High School in St. Ignace and was graduated from Alma college in 1988. She is employed at the family business on Mackinac Island.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Schoenborn of Conklin and is employed at the Mackinac Island Medical Center. He was graduated from Coppersville High School in 1981. He was graduated in 1983 from St. Mary’s School of Radiology and in 1986 from Ferris State University.

The bride was escorted to the altar by her uncle, C. Ronald Dufina. She wore a white gown of satin with a court train embroidered with pearls, and a veil of white tulle attached with a small tiara. She carried a bouquet of birds of paradise.

Katie McKay of Chassel served as matron of honor for her sister. She wore a sky blue satin gown with a lighter blue chiffon sash and carried an arrangement of birds of paradise.

Bridesmaids were Peggy Bynoe, a sister of the bride, and Jody Chambers, both of Mackinac Island, and Theresa France of St. Ignace. All wore dresses identical to that of the matron of honor. Flower girls were Kaithlyn and McKenna McKay and they wore long white gowns with sky blue trim.

The groom’s brother, Peter Schoenborn, served as best man. Groomsmen were Rob Bynoe, Jamie Bynoe, and Arnold Woods. The ring bearers were Riley and Dawson McKay.

Immediately following the ceremony, guests were transported by horse-drawn carriages to Grand Hotel for dinner and dancing.

The couple will take a wedding trip during the winter months and will reside on Mackinac Island.

Wedding guests were from several Michigan cities, Florida, Canada, New Jersey, Ohio, and New York.
