Festival Merchandise on Sale at Several Stores

Artwork used in the 2005 Lilac Festival poster is by Richard Wolfgang.
For lilac enthusiasts, several Mackinac Island stores are selling merchandise to commemorate this year’s Lilac Festival.

Paintings by Wolfgang is selling commemorative Lilac Festival posters for $9.50 and a limited edition lithograph for $75. The lithograph is 8 inches by 10 inches and there are only 200 of the museum quality, signed and numbered copies available for sale.

The lithograph is available for the first time this year because many people in past years have asked for a smaller, but still affordable version of the poster, Tourism Bureau Director Mary Slevin said.

Posters at the gallery are signed by the artist, however many other Island stores are also selling the posters, unsigned, for $9.50 and many stores are selling pins, which have the image of the poster on it, for $3.

For Lilac Festival apparel, visit Hunter’s Creek on the Hill in the French Outpost shops. They are selling official Lilac Festival logo wear, including T-shirts, fleeces, and more, all with the new festival logo, which was created by Meg Novak.

Many Island stores are also selling lilac plants.
