Schooner Manitou Visits Mackinac Island

The Schooner Manitou docked on Arnold Line’s Yoder Dock over the weekend. With two masts reaching 80 feet, it towered over the public marina. The 114-foot replica of an 1800s cargo ship was specifically built for passengers and was sold for two voyages Sunday, June 12. More than 80 people sailed on the ship. Others shared the experience by touring the ship at the dock. Here, Manitou rounds the bend at Windermere Point during its first voyage.
