Silent Auction Raises $2,500

Objects at the Feast of Epona silent auction ranged from sterling silver chain bracelets to a four-day trip for two to the big horse show at Lexington, Kentucky. Held by the Mackinac Island Community Foundation and hosted by Seabiscuit & Grog Cafe, the event was held in conjunction with the Lilac Festival and raised $2,500 for the Foundation’s Dr. Rex M. and Elizabeth C. Orr Fund for Animals. The fund promotes and provides for preventative medical care of animals on the Island, immunizations, emergency care, and general health of animals. The hottest item at the auction was a trip for two to the Rolex, Kentucky Three-day Event in Lexington, won by Carol Ruddle.
