Green, Rickley Exchange Vows May 28

Larry Rickley and Kathleen Green
Kathleen Marie Green, the daughter of Beverly and the late Gary Green of Volborg, Montana, and Lawrence Darcy Rickley, the son of Larry and Irene Rickley of Mackinac Island, were united in marriage Saturday, May 28, 2005, by the Reverend Edwin Remaly of Cheboygan at the historic Mission Church on Mackinac Island.

The bride was graduated from Custer County High School in Miles, City, Montana in 1995. She is employed by First National Bank of St. Ignace on Mackinac Island.

The groom was graduated from Mackinac Island Public School in 1993 and is a carpenter for Mackinac State Historic Parks.

The bride wore a long, two-piece white beaded satin gown, with an attached veil and tiara headpiece, and carried a bouquet of white lilies and yellow roses. She was escorted down the aisle by her mother, who was dressed in beige.

The groom’s mother was dressed in green.

Matron of honor was Krista Gotfredson of Olive, Montana, the niece of the bride. She wore a long, butter yellow gown.

Bridesmaids were sister of the groom Sara Sutherland of Orlando, Florida, and the sister of the bride, Becky Anderson, of Volborg, Montana. Bridesmaids both wore butter yellow skirts with white blouses that tied at the waist. Darcy Anderson, the niece of the bride, was the flower girl.

The groom’s cousin, Brian Bloswick of Mackinac Island, served as best man. Groomsmen were Scott Igo of St. Ignace and Jason St. Onge of Mackinac Island. Ushers and ring bearers were Anthony Rickley, the son of the groom, and Taten Anderson, the nephew of the bride.

Guests came from Montana, Canada, and many cities in Michigan, including Detroit, St. Ignace, and Cheboygan.

A reception followed the ceremony at the Mackinac Island Community Hall with dinner and dancing. The tables were decorated with spring flowers and black and white pictures of the bride and groom as children, and also as a couple.

The couple took a honeymoon to the Bahamas and will reside on Mackinac Island.
