Scouts Return For 45th Year

Boy Scout Troop 623, representing the South West Michigan Council, will be servicing the Island this coming week as the Governor’s Honor Guard. The boys will arrive Saturday, July 9, and remain through July 16. They will be assisting Mackinac State Historic Parks through the Scout Service Program, which involves greeting visitors to the fort, attending to historic downtown buildings, and raising and lowering flags.

The troop will be enjoying its 45th anniversary on the Island.
