Veterans Participate in Flag Raising

In celebration of Independence Day, the American Legion Post 299 Color Guard led the fire truck around downtown, stopping at Windermere Point for flag raising and ending at Mackinac Island Public School, in anticipation of fireworks. The group was met by calls of support and “thank-yous” as they walked down a crowded Main Street.
