State Park Hike Planned July 23

A hike is planned on the

15-station Father Marquette Memorial trail at Straits State Park in St. Ignace Saturday, July 23, at 10 a.m. The trail offers different views of the Mackinac Bridge. The event is part of a one-day statewide Department of Natural Resources program at state parks called “Project Go, Get Outdoors,” said Wayne Burnett of Straits State Park. The hike is also sponsored by Michigan State University Extension and the St. Ignace Visitors Bureau. Admission is free. The entrance to the park is on Boulevard Drive, south of US-2.
