The second lecture in the Second Annual Illumination series, known as Illumination 2005, will be held July 17 at 3 p.m. at Ste. Anne’s Church.

Prasanna Vengadam will be speaking about Hinduism at the lecture. Originally from India, Ms. Vengadam now lives in the United States. She is a part-time faculty member at Wayne State University, where she works in the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies for the College of Urban Labor and Metropolitan Affairs.

She is a former board member of the Detroit Theosophical Society and current member of In the Light, an organization that seeks to create a more peaceful and loving world.

The speaker series is sponsored by the Center for Peace and Idealism (CPI), an organization created by series organizer Daniel David.
