CBS Chicago Visits Island for Regatta

WBBM Channel 2 Chicago, an affiliate of CBS, will be sending a crew to Mackinac Island Saturday, July 16, to cover the Chicago Yacht Club’s Race to Mackinac.

The broadcast will be a multi-camera event that will chronicle the race and feature stories about the culture of yacht racing and the history and legend of Lake Michigan.

The crew is scheduled to be on the Island until Monday, July 18, and will be staying at the Lake View Hotel.

The one-hour telecast of “Race to Mackinac 2005” will air Saturday, July 30, at 6 p.m. and Sunday, July 31, at 11:05 p.m. The telecast will be hosted by Mark Malone and feature Jon Duncanson and Sylvia Gomez.
