Ottos Enjoy Island Return
North Carolina Couple: ‘We Love It Here’
Mary Ann and Richard Otto made a return visit to the Island and stopped by the

Town Crier office to renew their subscription. The paper keeps them in touch with Island life, said Mrs. Otto, since the former Michigan couple now live in Matthews, North Carolina.

They enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and the friendliness of the people on Mackinac.

For example, Mr. Otto said his camera was not working and an Island shop employee tried a few things to get it to work and did not even charge him. “That was nice,” he said.

Mrs. Otto said she loves to walk around the Island and see the horses. “We just love it up here.”
