Campers Make Quick Island Trip

Some 190 campers from Northwoods Christian Camp of Pickford visited Mackinac Island Tuesday, July 26, for a day-long tour. The youth, ranging in age from 13 to 17, are attending a two-week Living Youth Camp that mixes physical, educational, and religious activities. They hail from all over the United States and Canada, and several staff members this year are from Switzerland and New Zealand. Camp Director Gerald Weston said this is the first time the camp has come to the Island for just a day. “Mackinac Island,” he said, “is a quality place.”
