Letter to the Editor

To the Editor:

My family and I have visited the Island for over 20 years. We stay at least three times each year. Our family has been growing to include six grandchildren.

We came to the Island Friday, August 19, with all our bikes and family of 14. On Friday night, someone stole my grandson’s bike from the Island House bike rack. He is eight years old and very upset. We all spent the rest of the time searching for his bike.

As long as we have been coming to the Island, it has never been suggested we lock all our bikes. We have always felt very safe on the Island. We have offered a reward for the bike’s return.

Please give my grandson his bike back.
