Beaumont Brass To Perform Sun.

The Beaumont Brass will be performing at Trinity Episcopal Church at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 28.

The group is the faculty brass quintet at Michigan State University’s School of Music and is named after the landmark bell tower, Beaumont Tower. The group was formed in 1989 and released its first CD in 2000.

Members of The Beaumont Brass have gone on to hold positions in the Chicago Symphony, Fort Wayne Philharmonic, Grand Rapids Symphony, Lansing Symphony, Saint Louis Symphony, and the United States Marine Band.

The group is the last to perform in this summer’s classical concert series, sponsored by the Mackinac Island Community Foundation and Mackinac Arts Council.

The concert is free and open to the public.
