Past Workers Gather at Island Bar

Between 75 and 90 former employees of Horn's Gaslight Bar and the Yankee Rebel Tavern will return to Mackinac Island for a reunion Thursday, August 25, through Saturday, August 27. Owners Patti Ann and Steve Moskwa will be hosting the three-day event.

“I’m excited to see everybody who has worked for us from the 1970s through today,” said Mrs. Moskwa. “They are coming back with husbands, wives, and kids.” In fact, she said, “Some people met on the Island, worked for us, and now are married with kids. This is definitely a family affair.”

Weekend plans include a welcoming party Thursday night at Horn’s Bar, a family hay ride Friday, and a cookout. A golf tournament is scheduled for Saturday at Wawashkamo Golf Club. Myk Rise is providing Thursday night entertainment and Shawn Riley will be playing Friday and Saturday.
