Detroit Team Visits Island

From Wednesday, August 24, to Saturday, August 27, the cross country team from Detroit Country Day School in Beverly Hills held its summer training camp on Mackinac Island.

Twenty girls, along with their coach, Julie Winter, stayed at Craig Mawr, the East Bluff cottage owned by David and Ann Levy, whose daughter, Jill, is one of the captains of the Detroit Country Day cross country team.

Every summer, the girls hold a training camp somewhere in northern Michigan, and with the Levy’s recent restoration of Craig Mawr, Mr. and Mrs. Levy invited them this year to Mackinac.
