Jason and Jennie St. Onge

Jennie Shanku and Jason St. Onge of Mackinac Island were married October 8, 2005, at Ste. Anne’s Church, with Father Jim Williams as celebrant.

Sarah Pazur served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Meaghan Morris, Cate Regan, Katie Kober, Beth Danson, Leah VanVels, Erin Overstreet, and Becky Windecker.

Henry Grezlik, an uncle of the bride, served as the bride’s escort.

Eric St. Onge, a brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Andrew Doud, Franc Doud, Larry Rickley, Don Smith, Paul BeDour, Alex Shanku, and Andrew Delano.

Brevin St. Onge, a nephew of the groom, served as ring bearer.

The bride wore a strapless, off-white, raw silk dress, while bridesmaids wore black, knee length cocktail dresses. Flowers included gerbera daisies in shades of hot pink and orange, with lime green hydrangea in fresh wreaths, garlands, and bouquets.

A white landeau carriage carried the wedding couple, with the matron of honor and best man, to a cocktail reception at Grand Hotel’s front porch, followed by dinner and dancing at the Grand Hotel Theater Room.
