Surprise! It's a Foal

Joe Plaza, owner of Arrowhead Carriages, got a surprise when he awoke Sunday, May 14, and saw a new foal running around his corral. Josie, a chestnut filly, was born to Donna, a Belgian mare that Mr. Plaza had not known was expecting. The new foal stayed on the Island with her mother for two weeks before being sent to Mr. Plaza's farm on the mainland, where she is being fed by a bottle.
