Musser Annex Cottage Is Site for Williams Celebration June 24

A tour of Cerulean Sky, the Marlee and Dan Musser cottage in Hubbard's Annex, will be enjoyed by Mackinac Associates members Saturday, June 24. The cocktail reception and tour is scheduled for 6 p.m. and will be followed by dinner in Grand Hotel's Terrace Room at 7:30 p.m.

The annual event, called the G. Mennen Williams Celebration, pays tribute to the former Michigan governor. Mr. Williams was a strong supporter of the museum programs and archeological research of the Mackinac Island State Park Commission while he was governor from 1949 to 1960.

The event is open to the public and the cost for the evening is $120.

Mackinac Associates is the friends group that raises funds for Mackinac State Historic Parks' programs and this year's spring push is to raise money for the Education Endowment Fund. The fund supports an outreach program that takes park staff into Michigan classrooms to teach students about Straits of Mackinac history.

Reservations to attend the celebration must be made by Monday, June 19, by calling Diane Dombroski at (231) 436-4100.
