Loretta Rautio

Loretta Barbara Rautio of Warren, a frequent visitor to Mackinac Island, passed away on Sunday, June 18, at the age of 68 on Mackinac Island.

She was born to Amelia and Eugene Gawracz August 31, 1937, in Detroit, and was a long-time member of St. Louise de Marillac Parish in Warren.

Ms. Rautio loved spending time on Mackinac and also greatly enjoyed attending mass at Ste. Anne's Catholic Church here.

She is survived by her father, Eugene Gawracz of

Warren, two daughters and their families, Ann and David Levy of Mackinac Island and Birmingham and Jane and Darrin Sloan of Roseville, and two sons and their families, Timothy and Denise Rautio of Sterling Heights and Christopher and Diane Rautio of Rochester Hills. She is also survived by five granddaughters, Nicole Rautio, Kate Levy, Elizabeth Rautio, Jill Levy, and Allison Levy, and six grandsons, Jeffrey Rautio, Daniel Rautio, NiIcholas Sloan, Jonathon Rautio, Matthew Sloan, and Andrew Rautio.

She will also be missed by her pets, Nora and Charlie.

Services were held at St. Louise de Marillac Parish in Warren Thursday, June 22, with Monsignor Thomas G. Rice officiating.
