Island Holds 1st Rally for a Cure

Jason Horricks and Patti Ann Moskwa are organizing the breast cancer awareness campaign on Mackinac Island and have scheduled Rally For A Cure on Tuesday, August 15. Sixty golfers will be participating in the program at Grand Hotel's Jewel Golf Course.

Participants will receive information on the early detection of breast cancer, an exclusive Rally pink ribbon golf pin, and are eligible for a one-year subscription to Golf For Women magazine, which is a sponsor of the program.

The Rally For ACure program was started in 1996. Last year, more than 3,200 clubs hosted a tournament to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, which has received $20 million from the program to help eliminate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease.
