Jewel Golf Tournament Set for August 24 at Grand Hotel

Former Detroit Tigers baseball players John Hiller and Bill Freehan will participate in this year's Jewel at Mackinac golf tournament, to be held Thursday, August 24, at Grand Hotel to raise money for medical care. One-hundred twenty golfers will participate in the four-person scramble. The event raises about

$30,000 for the Mackinac Island Medical Center and The Moses Dialysis Unit at Mackinac Straits Hospital and Health Center in St. Ignace.
