Lilac Festival Is in 'Top 100'

Mackinac Island's annual Lilac Festival has again been designated one of the top 100 events in North America by the American Bus Association.

The association's president and CEO, Peter Pantuso, unveiled the 2007 Top 100 Events at ceremonies in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Wednesday, September 6. The 2007 Top Event in America is the Oklahoma Centennial. The top event in Canada was awarded to the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, held each July.

Traverse City's Cherry Festival is also in the Top 100 Events.
