Gillian Birrell of Glasgow, Scotland, and Andrew Jones of Grand Ledge, formerly of Mackinac Island, were married at Ste. Anne's Parish on Mackinac Island Monday, August 7.

Father Jim Williams officiated.

A reception at Stonecliffe followed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Thomas and Margaret Birrell of Glasgow, Scotland and is a hotel manager in Glasgow.

The groom is the son of Donna and Larry Jones of Grand Ledge and is a 2001 graduate of Mackinac Island Public School.

Mr. Jones is pursuing a college degree in history.

The couple reside in Glasgow.
