Dehring, Lents, Stuck, Dunnigan Top Golf Scramble

A tie for top honors in the last mixed scramble of the season at Wawashkamo Golf Club was broken in a chip-off, with the team of Jack Dehring, Brian Lents, Michelle Stuck, and Marcia Dunnigan declared the winners. They tallied a score of 31 in the August 22 event.

Losing the chip-off were Dick Gilles, David Sheppard, Brenda Bunker, and Jennifer Bloswick.

The event drew 52 players and was followed by a steak cookout.

Third place, with a score of 32, went to Lou Bunker, Jim Hoyle, Carole Erbel, and Mary Callewaert, fourth place with a score of 33, and winning a chip-off to settle a three-way tie, were Randy Stuck, Larry Berke, Cynthia Cawthorne, and Nancy Keogh.

The "whiner" winners coming in last were Fritz George, Jay Stingel, Mary Dufina, and Carol Rearick.

Brian Lents, Brenda Bunker, and the team of Mike Roberts, Ron Dufina, Janice Preston, and Nancy Marstiller won closet-to-the-pin competitions, and Cub Horn had the longest putt on the ninth hole.
