Nine To Operate Horses on Island Nine Mackinac Island businesses were awarded license renewals to operate horses on Mackinac Island State Park roads Wednesday, March 28, during a meeting of the Mackinac Island State Park Commission. The only change from last year's licenses was the addition of one dray license to Gough Taxi and Livery. The company now has two dray licenses. The businesses and their licenses are: Arrowhead Carriages, 12 livery, 3 dray; Chambers Riding Stable, 20 saddle horses; Gough Brodeur Stables, Inc., 50 saddle horses, 18 drive-yourself buggies, 3 dray; Gough Taxi and Livery, 1 taxi, 3 livery, 2 dray; Grand Hotel, 7 hotel busses, 5 dray; Mackinac Island Carriage Tours, 12 taxi, 6 livery, 55 sightseeing, 5 dray; Mackinac Island Service Company, 19 dray; Mission Point Resort, 3 hotel busses, 3 dray; Star Freight of Mackinac, 6 dray. |
