Island School Will Host Golf Tourney May 16

Mackinac Island Public School will host its first golf tournament Wednesday, May 16.

The tournament will likely be held at Wawashkamo Golf Club, a nine-hole course, as school and Wawashkamo officials are still working out the details, said School Superintendent Roger Schrock.

Teams invited will be from Mackinac Island's Northern Lights League and non-conference teams in the area, such as St. Ignace, Brimley, and DeTour.
