Governor's Residence Tours Begin

Beginning June 6, free tours of the Governor's Summer Residence on Mackinac Island will be offered from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. each Wednesday through August 29.

The 1902 structure has served as a summer home for Michigan governors and their families since 1944.

The home is at the intersection of Fort Street and Huron Road on a bluff overlooking the Island's downtown and the Straits of Mackinac.
