One Stroke Wins It for Wawashkamo Scramble Top Team
Callewaert, Borst, Reid, Sparkman Take 1st

Only one stroke separated the top three teams vying for first place at the opening spring golf scramble at Wawashkamo Saturday, June 2. The scramble drew 36 players.

A tie for first place with 60 strokes each was broken using the score from the hole that earned the most strokes.

The winning team of Todd Callewaert, Billy Borst, Orv Reid, and Tom Sparkman each received $75 in credit at the Wawashkamo golf shop.

Second place finishers Ron Dufina, Randy Stuck, Doug Rearick, and Rusty Preston each received a golf shop credit of $60.

With a score of 61 and coming in third place were David Levy, Dan Murch, Ron Morden, and Richard Blake. Each player received $45 in credit at the golf shop.

Coming in first for the Ladies Flight with a score of 72 was the team of Lin Sheppard, Michelle Stuck, and Kay Berke. They each received a $55 golf shop credit.

Second place at 74, was the team of Sue Chambers, Sandra Orr, and Debra Orr. A $35 golf shop credit was given to them.

Other games on the course included closest to the pin in three shots on hole nine was the team of Sandra Orr, Debra Orr, and Sue Chambers.

For men, closest to the pin in three shots on hole five was the team of Todd Callewaert, Tom Sparkman, Orv Reid, and Billy Borst. Closest to the pin in three shots on hole 10 was the team of Clark Bloswick, Larry Rickley, Gary Horn, and Sean Preston.

Closest to the pin on hole four for men was Clark Bloswick and closest to the pin on hole 17 was Jack Dehring.
