Libby Benjamin
Libby Benjamin, daughter of Tom and Mary Benjamin of Farmington Hills and granddaughter of Bob and Bev Benjamin of Mackinac Island, recently was graduated from The Leelanau School in Glen Arbor as Valedictorian. She also received the school's Willis M. Hawkins award for Mathematics and Science Excellence.

She is a National Merit Scholar and, in high school, was a member of the National Honor Society, a dormitory prefect, and participated in the school's equestrian program.

Miss Benjamin has received a Presidential Scholarship to Grand Valley State University, where she will enter the Honors College this fall to study biology and compete on Grand Valley's equestrian team.

She has worked during the past three summers at the Picture Shop and taught beginning horseback lessons at the 4- H barn last summer.
