Daisy Days Will Be June 22, 23

The annual fundraiser Daisy Day will take place Friday and Saturday, June 22 and 23, at Community Hall on Market Street. Candi Smith and Barb Fisher put this event together to raise funds for the Stella King Scholarship Fund with a raffle. This year will see the addition of a doll show, featuring the collections of Mrs. Smith and her sisters, including Dee Horn Czapek. They hope to expand the collection the following year.

Daisy Day used to support the lay health program, with Stella King as the Island's lay health nurse. The scholarship in her name was awarded this year to 2007 Mackinac Island Public School graduate Scott Roguska.
