Minimum Wage Hike in Effect July 1 More than half a million Michigan workers got a pay raise Sunday, July 1, when the minimum wage moved to $7.15 per hour, reported the office of Governor Jennifer Granholm. The minimum wage will increase again next year at this time to $7.40 an hour. As a result of the minimum wage hikes phased in from $5.15 to $7.40, full-time, minimum wage workers will have an additional $288 of income every month. |
