Dr. Joong Eun Shin Serves Island
He attended medical school in Seoul and entered military service in Korea, which is mandatory for all males, where he worked primarily in public health. He came to the United States in 2005. Dr. Shin has one year left to go on a family medicine residency with the Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies. "I think it's kind of different," he said of the Island, noting the absence of cars. He is here with his wife and child. |
