CBS Early Show To Broadcast From Grand Hotel

Dave Price and the CBS Early Show will return to Mackinac Island Thursday, August 23, for a live broadcast of its Great American Vacation series on the front porch of Grand Hotel.

"They're letting us bring our Winnebago to the Grand Hotel!" the show's Web site proclaims.

The series takes Mr. Price on a road tour to nine states across the country, including South Dakota, Colorado, New York, Georgia, North Carolina, and Maine. Bar Harbor will be the last stop on August 30. Along the way, Mr. Price hands out week-long vacations to the Caribbean to hardworking people who "deserve a break."

Throughout the broadcast on Mackinac, CBS will air footage taken during a Friday, June 22, visit to the Island when Mr. Price worked as an interpreter at Fort Mackinac, rode a horse, and made fudge.

The CBS Early Show airs weekdays from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.
