Rebecca Spitzer To Study in Israel

Rebecca Spitzer will spend a year studying in Israel with 21 other students at the Emunah V'Omanut school, which translates to "Faith and Art." She looks forward to visiting holy sites to supplement classroom studies in religion and art. Her routine, she said, will be to get up early, pray, eat breakfast, and study until 10 p.m. five nights a week, with the exception of the two-hour lunch and nap break at noon.

In her free time, she hopes to visit family and friends there.

An employee at Mackinac Lapidary, she will leave for Israel August 27.

Her parents, Ann Silverman and Robert Spitzer, have a summer home at Woodbluff.
