Grand Weekend of Jazz Begins Friday on Mackinac Headliners John Pizzarelli and T.S. Monk will take the main stage for the 20th Annual Grand Hotel Labor Day Weekend Jazz Festival. Events begin Friday evening, August 31, and run through Sunday, September 2. Mr. Pizzarelli will be featured at the Saturday cookout and concert in the Tea Garden. Performing with him is special guest jazz singer Jessica Molaskey. Grand Hotel's music director and alto saxophone player Alex Graham will open for Mr. Pizzarelli. Mr. Monk, a pianist, will play with special guest singer Rachael Price Sunday afternoon. Radio personality Paul Anthony will continue his annual tradition of offering entertainer interviews. Also performing at the festival will be bassist Paul Keller, pianists Bob Baldori and Bob Seeley, and The Easy Street Jazz Band. Tickets are $65 per person for each day and include a buffet luncheon.
