Rally for Cure Golf Raises $2,182 for Cancer Research

Fifty-eight men and women participated in the "Rally for the Cure" Golf Outing Tuesday, August 14, at Grand Hotel's Jewel Course and raised $2,182 for breast cancer research.

First place team consisted of Doug Rearick, Fritz George, Rusty Preston, and Ron Dufina took first place, Don Andress, Sara Chambers, Jamie Andress, and Travis Vartarian came in second, and Betty BeDour, Carole Erbel, Diane Brandonisio, and Mary Jane Barnwell came in last place.

Closest to the Pin was awarded to Tom McVady and Virginia Riordan. The longest drive awards went to Brenda Bunker and Larry Rickley, and the longest putt awards went to Cynthia Cawthorne and Cub Horn.

Patti Ann Moskwa and Grand Hotel organized the tournament, and prizes were donated by the business community.

Nancy Lafarier collected gift certificates that were awarded to the winners and donated by businesses. The event was organized by Patti Ann Moskwa and sponsored by The Yankee Rebel Tavern and Grand Hotel.
