Star Line Changes Schedule

With fuel prices on the rise, Star Line has removed some trips from its posted ferry schedule to conserve fuel.

Until June 12, Star Line will no longer run its 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. boats leaving Mackinaw City for the Island, and its 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. boats departing the Island for Mackinaw City. In addition, the company will not offer its 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. boats departing St. Ignace and its 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. boats from the Island to St. Ignace.

From June 13 to August 31, the company will not run its 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. boats departing both Mackinaw City and St. Ignace, as well as the 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. boats departing the Island for both destinations.

The St. Ignace railroad dock will open June 13 instead of June 6, as originally scheduled, however, all railroad dock trips will continue as scheduled from that date.
